A History of Stephen Rotella’s Innovation in Business

Stephen Rotella graduated from the State University of New York with an MBA in Finance and Information Systems. Since that fateful graduation day, Rotella has worked hard to obtain respectable positions within major companies. He has served as a Chair and Director for a company called BalletMet that specialized in regional art. Rotella proudly worked with the JP Morgan brand from 1987-2005. During this time, he oversaw creation of the JP Morgan Community Development Group, but only counting that accomplishment would be an understatement to the legacy of Stephen Rotella at JP Morgan.

Throughout his 18 year tenure at JP Morgan, he excelled at many different roles. From 1987 to 1991, one of those titles he held was the Senior Vice President of Marketing, in the Finance and Product Development division of the company. Rotella also served as Executive Vice President of Servicing from 1991 to 1998. One of the most important moments in the life of Stephen Rotella came when he became the CEO of the Chase company’s Home Finance department from 1998 to 2001.

Stephen Rotella was not done improving the way a business is ran, although his tenure at JP Morgan had come to an end. In 2005, he served as the President and COO of WMI Holdings. Rotella would stay in these previously mentioned positions until October of 2008. In 2011, he would become CEO once again with StoneCastle Partners where he still remains currently. Located out of New York, NY, StoneCastle Partners have over $12 billion in assets and is quickly becoming one of the largest asset management firms in America.In summary, Stephen Rotella took his MBA degree and set out on making the most of every opportunity. Serving as Director of an art company took him to continually face new challenges and opportunities. His 18 year tenure at JP Morgan saw him continue to innovation this massive company. StoneCastle Partners, Rotella’s newest venture, leading one of the largest asset management firms in America shows that this man doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon.
