Honey Birdette is an Australian lingerie brand that has recently launched its US e-commerce dedicated site. In addition to this, Honey Birdette has also stated that they have expansion plans to take the Honey Birdette UK retail portfolio from the existing three stores to a total of forty by the end of 2018.
Honey Birdette was founded in Brisbane by Eloise Monaghan in the year 2006. The company launched its U.S site after experiencing a boom of 374% rise of online sales in the U.S market within a year. According to Monaghan, the main aim of the new platform is to enhance the consumer’s experience by offering faster delivery, an extended product range, and easy returns for the US customer.
The company is also targeting the US market for retail openings and is working on increasing the total number of stores in UK. The first store outside Australia was opened last year in London’s Covent Garden, then two more were opened in Westfield White City and Leeds’ Victoria Gate.
Honey Birdette has made it public that it has 10 more openings lined up in the UK. This includes Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Westfield White. By the end of next year, the number should have risen to a total of 40 stores. In its home market of Australia, Honey Birdette has 55 stores in its Australian home market, and also has its eyes on other premium locations that are in Europe.
As a growth strategy, Honey Birdette has a strong presence on social media on various platforms like twitter and Facebook. They have also released a number of videos on youtube for advertisement. The marketing strategy is specifically useful for the online boutiques. Honey Birdette has many social media followers and fans not only in Australia but other countries as well.
